This heritage project consisted of striping out all defected lead bays, which were caused through another roofing contractor, covering the mock rolls with Bitumen tar, which trapped the water and caused considerable water damage to the upper penthouse apartments.
We also stripped eves, re-slated existing slates to eaves. Re-leaded the defective lead works, including bays with code 6 rolled lead.
VELUX engaged HTA to evolve concepts for two homes in a semi-detached arrangement as the UK’s contribution to the VELUX Model Home 2020 project a pan-European series of six building ‘experiments’. The design includes a three bedroom home and four bedroom home with integrated garage.

scia’s, Soffits, Barge boards and Guttering were replaced with white PVC plastics, with black half round gutter. The project was then finished off with green dry verge and a breathable dry fix ridging.
